Privacy policy
What data this website handles, why, and what rights you have under the GDPR.
1. Who is responsible
Responsible for data processing on modernmoneymaking.xyz, api.modernmoneymaking.xyz and links.modernmoneymaking.xyz (controller under Art. 4 (7) GDPR):
E-mail:
2. In short
- No newsletter. The forms are the optional competition sign-up (section 5) and the Prop Tracker sign-up and login (section 6). A Prop Tracker account needs only a username and a password, no e-mail address.
- No cookies on this website, no analytics or tracking tools, no advertising networks. The Prop Tracker uses one login cookie (section 6).
- Fonts and images are loaded from our own servers, not from third-party providers such as Google Fonts.
- Competition standings show Discord display names and trading results (see section 4).
3. Hosting and delivery (Cloudflare)
The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and api.modernmoneymaking.xyz (the live competition data and the content of this website) is delivered through Cloudflare's network to our own server. When you open a page, your browser sends technical data: your IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system, and the referring page. Cloudflare processes these data to deliver the website and to protect it against attacks and abuse.
Provider: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Data may be processed in the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the EU Commission has adopted an adequacy decision; in addition, Cloudflare's data processing addendum with the EU standard contractual clauses applies. Cloudflare keeps such log data only for a short time; details are in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is a secure, reliable and fast website.
4. Competition standings and community content
Our competitions run in the Modern Money Making Discord. When you log trades with our Discord bot during a competition, the website shows your Discord display name, your result in R, your record (wins and losses) and your rank, live during the competition and afterwards in the past results. We publish them so participants and visitors can follow the competition, as described in the competition terms.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (taking part under the competition terms) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (our interest in a transparent competition). You can ask us at any time to remove or anonymise your name in published results.
The analysts shown on the home page are shown with their name, photo and description at their own request (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR); they can withdraw this at any time.
5. Competition sign-up
When we announce an upcoming competition, you can sign up for it on this website. You enter the detail the announcement asks for (for example your account ID at a partner platform), the platform if there is a choice, and your Discord username. We store these details with the time of sign-up on our own server, in the list we use to manage participants and partner (VIP) members. Our Discord bot then looks up your username in the Modern Money Making Discord and stores your Discord user ID with the entry.
To protect the form against abuse, the address your request comes from is kept in our server's memory for at most one hour to limit the number of sign-ups; it is not stored with your entry.
Purpose: taking part in the competition and, where announced, checking your eligibility (for example a partner account) and handling prizes or partner benefits. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. We keep the entry as long as it is needed for the competition, its prizes or the related partner benefits, and delete it on request unless we must keep it by law.
6. Prop Tracker
Sign-up. The Prop Tracker is for members of the Modern Money Making Discord. You create an account on links.modernmoneymaking.xyz with a username and a password; we do not ask for an e-mail address or any other contact details. While you type, the username is checked against existing accounts. To protect the sign-up against abuse, we store the address a new account was created from, with the time, for one hour (to limit how many accounts one address can create), and the addresses of username checks are kept in our server's memory for at most one minute. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (creating the account you asked for) and, for the abuse protection, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (security).
Discord login. To sign up (and, if you like, to log in) you continue with Discord. Discord then tells us your Discord user ID and username and whether you are a member of our Discord server; when you sign up and are not a member yet, Discord adds you to the server with your consent on Discord's screen. We do not get your e-mail address, your messages or your other servers, and we do not post anything for you. The access token Discord gives us is used only for these requests and not stored. We store your Discord user ID and username with your account, and once a day our Discord bot checks that this ID is still a member of the server (we store when it was last checked); if you leave the server, the tracker is unavailable until you join again, and your data is kept. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (the tracker is offered to members of our community). Provider: Discord Inc., USA; data may be processed in the USA. Discord's privacy policy applies on Discord.
Your account. We store your username, a hash of your password and a hash of your recovery code (never the password or the code themselves), when the account was created and how (sign-up or created by us), when you last logged in, your plan (for example a trial and its end date), a profile picture if you upload one, and what you enter in the tracker: your prop accounts, their rules, trades, balances and payouts. If you send a purchase ID to get full access, we store it with the evaluation, the size and the time, and compare it with the purchases the firm shows us as its partner. The tracker has a community feed that other logged-in members of the tracker see: it shows your new trades (the P&L, the coin, long or short, evaluation or funded), when you get funded or breach an account (its size and firm) and your payouts (the amount), with your Discord username (or your username) and your profile picture. Results you enter with an older date are not shown, and the rest of your entries (balances, rules, notes, prices) is never shown to anyone else. In the feed's settings you choose which of these (trades, fundings, breaches, payouts) others see; what you untick is hidden at once. Members can react to an entry (hype or hug); the number of reactions and the names of the members who reacted are shown with it. Deleting an entry, an account or your whole account removes it from the feed. When you are logged in, a cookie keeps you signed in; it is needed for the login and is deleted when you log out or close the browser. Failed logins and wrong recovery codes are recorded with the address and time to block password guessing; entries older than 15 minutes are no longer used and are deleted with the next failed attempt. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (providing the tracker you asked for) and, for the login protection, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (security). We keep the data while your account exists. You can delete your account yourself in your account settings; its entries and profile picture are deleted with it. You can also ask us to delete it.
Earlier access requests. Before the sign-up, access was requested with a Discord username through a form on this website. Requests still stored are deleted once they are handled and no longer needed, or on request.
7. Links to other services
This website links to Discord, Telegram, TradingView, X and partner offers. Nothing is sent to these services while you are on our website; only when you click a link do you go to their site, where their privacy policies apply. Partner links may be affiliate links: the partner can then see that you came from us and may set cookies on its own website.
8. Contact by e-mail
If you e-mail us, we use your address and message only to answer you and delete them when they are no longer needed, unless we must keep them by law. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, or Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your message is about taking part in a competition.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16) or deleted (Art. 17), to restrict its processing (Art. 18), to receive it in a portable format (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21). Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. To use these rights, e-mail us at the address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). In Austria this is the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at. You can also complain to the authority in the EU country where you live.
10. Other
You are not obliged to provide personal data to visit this website. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling. We update this policy when the website or the law changes; the current version is always on this page.
